Stirling County Cricket Club – 100 Club November 2010
The Club has made great advances in the past few years since moving to our new ground. There is a strong playing structure at both senior (mens and ladies) and junior level and this year the first team has won promotion to the new top division in Scottish cricket and for the first time ever reached the Scottish Cup Final. The ladies went one better in winning their Scottish Cup.
As part of the financial deal with the Council and their builders in connection with the new ground, the Club won sponsorship from the builders for the first six years at the new ground. The final year's sponsorship is due in 2012. This will then leave a bit of a hole in our income. So we need to maximise other areas.
The 100 Club has been on the go for a few years but has never met its potential (ie 100 members+). As a current member I have offered to take this on and look to boost membership. It is a way of raising money which is in the total control of members and friends and also has a fun element to it.
The annual fee is £36 and if we have 100 members and pay out half in prizes then we return £1800 to the Club every year. This is a significant sum.
We currently have 50 members and need to recruit more!
Memberships can be paid by standing order monthly/annually or paid by cheque. A monthly draw will be made and winners posted on the club website.
An application form can be completed on line and returned to me. There is also an electronic bank mandate form which can be downloaded and sent to your Bank.
Please join the Club and help ensure the continued success of the Cricket Club!
