Kreeson Naicker (21) is a talented off-spin bowler who is currently involved with the North West amateur provincial side which competes in the CSA Provincial Challenge. He has played 15 matches for North West, 9 first-class and 6 List-A fixtures since making his debut in the 2007/08 season. A graduate of the Highveld Lions Cricket Academy, he represented the South African Under-19s in a Youth Test against the touring Indian's then in his debut season with North West, finished as the team’s leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets at 42.06, including a career-best 5/120. Although he bats in the lower order at first-class level, he is a capable batsman who batted middle order for the South African Under-19s and also in Premier Club Cricket. Naicker is currently also amongst the leading wicket takers (16 wickets at 14.81) in the North West Premier League this season and is now eager to play his first season in the UK in 2010.
