Sponsorship and Advertising at Stirling County CC

In 2007 when the club took over its new ground, we were pleased to have three sponsors in place, each company taking it in turns over a six year period to help the club fund its activities.

These sponsors are FES, Ogilvie and Stewart Milne Homes and we are delighted to have them firmly behind the club's desire to improve cricket in the region.

The sponsorship means that the club can invest in youth cricket and, with the help of SportsMatch, we are able to increase our revenue by matching it against part of the sponsorship money. In addition, we have been able to maintain a full-time groundsman to keep the playing areas at the highest standard possible.

With the current contracts in place until 2012-13 we are keen to develop other potential mainline sponsors and will be delighted to hear from any organisation who would like to consider the benefits of providing sponsorship.

Our advertising facilities are extensive with two large ovals we have plenty of space to provide advertising around the ground. Our main facility is for 10' x 2' banners, mounted on boundary boards around the ground. We also have a small number of 'special' sites where we can vary the size, shape and message shown. Advertisers will also be highlighted on our web site.

Raising our Profile

We know that sponsors and advertisers want a return on their investment and the best way to achieve this is to make sure that as many people get to see their names as possible. Stirling County Cricket Club has a range of activities that do just this:

National level cricket played throughout the season
Home of the Scotland Ladies Cricket Team
Cricket Scotland sponsored youth competitions
National and regional league play-off games
Host for regional and local Kwik Cricket competitions and festivals

Sponsorship Secretary

Raising money through sponsorship and advertising is such a critical part of the club's ability to provide these first class facilities that we have a dedicated Sponsorship Secretary.

Ian Wandless is our man and he will be delighted to speak with anyone interested in placing one or more advertising banners, becoming a sponsor or wishing to run an event at the club.
