A message from the clubProgress is being made with our new forms of communications and we hope that you are beginning to enjoy the content on our web site. The Twitter widget at the foot of this page and at the foot of the Club Update sections are experimental but we're going to give these a go to see if we can improve the real-time information about what's happening around the club throughout the season and beyond. Do please get signed up with Twitter as it works both for computer and mobile based communications. We have a link below to the ECB Play-Cricket provided web site specifically designed for clubs throughout the UK where you will find further information about the teams, fixtures, results and player stats for the club. There is also a forum for members to air views and stay in touch. You may wish to visit our members area and, if you'd like to join the forums, please submit a request through that site.
The purpose of this site is to provide a focus on what the club is doing to maintain its facilities and services within the community and to help us with the very important aspect of fund raising and sponsorship. We will let you know what events we have planned and to keep you up-to-date with our thriving junior section which is a key area of development for the club's long term future.
We are also keen to get involvement from the community to help with a number of aspects at the club. For instance, keeping this web site up-to-date, helping with the junior section throughout the year (we have winter training as well as playing in the summer), helping and organising social events at the club, attracting advertisers and sponsors, working the bar. The list is long, so don't be afraid to ask if you think you can help or would just like to offer your time occasionaly. You can click Contact Us to email us your details.
Keep an eye on the Fixtures & Events section as we intend to have the calendar there accurately reflect all external events happening at the club such as home fixtures, non-cricket events as well as a range of other matches and activities that will be occuring at the club.
We've put some more outdoor furniture in place at the club including new picnic benches and parasols so that you can enjoy the games without getting sun-burnt (yes, the sun does shine on Stirling County Cricket Club quite regularly).
