We have a large and thriving Junior section that offers cricket coaching and matches for everyone age 5 and upwards. We believe that, as well as bring great fun, cricket can help young people to develop valuable skills such as team working, discipline and fair play.
Don't worry if you and/or your children don't know much about cricket; we're here to help and suggest you start by having a look at our Frequently Asked Questions page.
Junior cricket at Stirling County has a long and hugely successful history, with many players going on to represent senior Stirling County, regional and national teams.
A key aim of our Junior section is to encourage as many youngsters to give cricket a go and to use our coaching team to support those players who are new to the game.
Children aged between 5 and upwards can begin their cricket journey with 'Kwik Cricket', a fun, simplified version of the game using plastic bats and soft balls. This is an ideal opportunity to further develop the skills of batting, bowling and fielding in a safe, fun environment without the need for protective equipment (please note that all equipment is provided by the club).
As players progress, they move on to Junior 1,2 and 3 and eventually to Senior cricket. We also present Junior section members for regional and Scottish trial, training and playing opportunities.
